About Imbert and Smithers
Imbert and Smithers is an online firearms retailer for California: deer and pig rifles, Valley shotguns, roster-listed and roster-exempt handguns, rimfire, optics and parts, shipped to the licensed California dealer you choose.
Most online stores will not ship to California at all, and the ones that do rarely explain the roster, DROS, non-lead ammunition or the vendor rule for ammo. We ship within California's rules and put each rule next to the product, so what you order is what your dealer can hand you after the 10-day wait. We also keep city guides for 22 cities, with who issues carry licenses, the hunting zone and the nearest public ranges.
How we work
- Online only. There's no showroom to visit. Everything is ordered here and picked up at your own FFL dealer.
- Live price and stock. What you see is checked again when you order.
- Every firearm through an FFL. We ship guns only to licensed dealers, who complete the background check with you.
- Straight answers. Ask us anything before you buy — about a model, a caliber, or how a transfer works.
What we don't sell
We don't sell NFA items (suppressors, short-barreled rifles or shotguns, machine guns), and we don't ship items to places where they're prohibited.
